Scott Ralls Fund
Applications for the 2025 Scott Ralls Fund are CLOSED!
Scott Ralls, a longtime volunteer and past President of ACA, NY & NJ passed away in September 2020. Scott was an incredible advocate for our industry and an amazing supporter of ACA. We plan to honor Scott’s contributions with a dedicated fund that will provide capital grants to Accredited non-profit camps of our affiliate.
We are proud to announce that our Board of Directors, along with a Fund Committee, has committed to providing one-time annual grants for our Accredited non-profit camps to be used for capital improvements. Individual grant requests for 2025 should not exceed $25,000.
The criteria to receive this grant are:
Your camp or organization must be a non-profit accredited member of ACA, NY & NJ in good standing (membership fees must be current).
Camp has a need and a plan to make a capital improvement to the camp within 2 years, to which this grant will make a meaningful contribution. Capital improvement can include new construction, additions to an existing structure, renovations or repairs to an existing structure, fixed/integrated equipment, or any combination of the above.
Past grantees will not be eligible to re-apply for a grant for a minimum of three years/grant cycles.
Preference will be given to stand-alone projects that can be completed within one year and are not part of a capital campaign or a more significant project already underway.
Note: This grant cannot be used for regular operating expenses of the organization, salaries, or any other costs not related to the capital project.
If you believe that your program meets these requirements, you can fill out a brief application via the link below. The application deadline is December 6, 2024. The committee will be reviewing all eligible applications after the submission deadline and inform applicants of the decision before June 1, 2025. If you are awarded the grant, we will be encouraging the use of Tri-State vendors for the resulting purchases. This is just another way that we continue to support our industry moving forward.
If you have any questions, or are interested in making a donation towards this fund, please reach out to Alicia Skovera, Executive Director.
