Meet Our #TSCamp2025 Interns!

Fabiola Baez

My name is Fabiola Báez García. I’m from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. This will be my 7th year at Camp Mah Kee Nac in Lenox, MA. I have worked in different areas  like  the office, and as Mini Mak director. This year I joined the year round team as Camp Administrator and as a Campus Leader for the youngest group at camp. I’m passionate about running, CAMP and helping others. 

 

Jess Chaney

Hi! My name is Jess Chaney, and I live in Rockland County NY. This summer I will be attending Woodmont Day Camp for my 3rd year as one of the archery instructors. This past May I graduated from Bloomsburg University with a bachelor's degree in Education for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing & Early Childhood Education. I am currently a teaching assistant in the special education department at Clarkstown North High School. Outside of work I enjoy rock climbing, and hiking, and can often be found with a book in my hands. This is my first time at Tri-State and am looking forward to connecting and learning from all of you!

 

Cami Churchfield

Hi! My Name is Cameron (Cami) Churchfield. I am from Long Island and currently a second semester Junior at American University in Washington, DC. I have spent the past 10 summers attending and now working at Camp Echo Lake, and I have loved every second of it! With hopes of becoming a pediatric Social Worker in my future, the camp experience has been instrumental in teaching me the importance of empathy, compassion, and overall support children need in order to thrive. I am so excited to be part of the Tri-State Internship team and I can’t wait to see everyone in March!

 

Kyle Dailor

Kyle has been involved with the camp world for over 12 years, both as a camper and now as a seasoned counselor with Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Camps in Decatur, Michigan. Kyle is a senior at McKendree University, where he currently serves as Assistant Technical Director for the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts. When he is not working, Kyle can be found making music or spending time outdoors. Upon graduation, Kyle hopes to join the camp professional industry, where he can continue to bring the same life changing experiences to children today that he has had the privilege of living through his entire life.

 

Anna DiMatteo

My name is Anna Dimatteo, I live in Suffern NY, and I am an Adventure Activity Instructor at Woodmont Day Camp. This will be my third year at Woodmont, and my first year attending Tri-State. Outside of Woodmont Day Camp, I am a junior undergraduate at Coastal Carolina University studying Sustainability and Coastal Resilience with a goal of pursuing Ecotourism. You can find me at the beach surfing, snorkeling with friends, and looking for shells and different marine life. I am so excited for this opportunity here at Tri-State, and I cannot wait to learn and grow with everyone! 

 

Justin Jones

Justin Jones is currently a senior at the University of Florida studying Business Administration. At UF, he has served in many dynamic leadership roles including as president of his large 200 person Fraternity, his experience in this role parlays perfectly into his role at Jeff Lake Camp in Stanhope, NJ.  

Justin is Jeff Lakes’ Program Operation Assistant and Staff Engagement Coordinator. In his role he helped launch Jeff Lake's first international staff program, and led an industry wide initiative to create and run the North Jersey regional day camp staff softball league. He is currently exploring full time career opportunities in the New York metro area in anticipation of his upcoming graduation in May! Justin is returning for his second Tristate and can’t wait to get back to Atlantic City for a great week!

 

Blake Nixon

Hello! My name is Blake Nixon and I couldn't be more excited to intern at ACANYNJ this year. I have been working as a general counselor at camp Mah-Kee-Nac for the past two summers and am excited to return for a third year in a leadership role. In the off season I enjoy doing other seasonal work such as Santa's Lapland this last winter in Finland or chilling at home with the family playing video games and music. More recently I've shifted my focus after acquiring my bachelor's in Psychology and am getting geared up to join the U.S. Air Force following camp this year. Can't wait to meet you all and feel free to come say hi and spark up a conversation.

 

Beryl Rosenberg

Beryl is a Senior at Pace University in NYC studying Business Management. She has been part of the TLC Family of Camps since she was four years old, growing up at North Shore Day Camp and spending the past six summers there as a counselor and group leader. Beryl was inducted into the NSDC Hall of Fame in 2022, and even keeps in touch with her kindergarten division leader! Beryl is currently an intern at SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education) and is exploring full-time work in the camp industry. She is excited to learn about all things camp at Tri-State this year!

 

TJ Sweeney

Hi there, my name is TJ! I’ve spent the majority of my life involved in summer camp, as both a camper and professional. I strive to make every day at camp memorable for staff and children alike. In my free time, I enjoy writing and playing music, working with animals, baseball, and volunteering within my community. I also love teaching swim lessons for children and teenagers - safety around water is incredibly important to me!

 

Sharr Ward

Hey y’all! I’m Sharr Ward from Pickens, Mississippi, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the Tri-State Camp Conference this year! I bring 4 years of camp experience, plus a year teaching kindergarten. Currently, I’m the Coordinator of Events at the University of Mississippi, and I’m set to finish my master’s in Higher Education this May. I’m looking forward to connecting with amazing folks, sharing ideas, and jumping in to help wherever I can. Can’t wait to see y’all at Tri-State!
