EPIC Pre-Conference: Tools for Career Success
Camp is a hard job – as we all know – so it is important to equip yourself with the right tools to excel. Together, the EPIC community is going to dive into some of the biggest hurdles we as camp professionals face early in our careers: goal setting, managing others, conflict resolution, accountability, self-advocacy, and self-care. A panel of experienced camp professionals will share their personal journeys and career insights, offering valuable perspectives to help us tackle these challenges. Together, we’ll assess where you (and your camp) are now and reflect on important questions: How do I want to see my career grow? What steps do I need to take and what skills do I need to develop to get there? You will leave feeling empowered with practical tools to move your career forward and a plan to get you started.

Breaking In & Climbing Up: Growing Your Camp Career
If you are looking to expand your professional knowledge and network in hopes of making camp a long-lasting and successful career, please join us on January 10th for an afternoon of learning and connection. We know that the camp space can be difficult to crack into and even more difficult to find space to grow. Learn from 3 experienced camp professionals (Erec Hillis, Camp Champions, Michael Garcia, Youth Development Pro LLC, and Brent Osborne, Shir Ami) about their career journeys and their advice for how to professionally grow in this space.

National EPIC Summer Debrief
You did it! Another summer is complete. Long hours, less sleep, and hopefully fun throughout. You can finally exhale. With everything that happens throughout the summer, it's important to rest and reflect. Join EPIC for a nationwide summer debrief to connect with others and discuss lessons learned and things you want to do differently. You can also decompress before jumping into the next season!
EPIC Summer Send Off
Let’s gather everyone together for one last happy hour before we head into the summer! Slate NY is an adult playground where we can hang out, play games, and be silly together before we part ways for the summer months. This is a free event to attend - there is food and a bar available. This month’s EPIC Coffee and Chat will be about staff orientation and training! With the summer season just around the corner, there is still time to make this crucial period for your staff the best it can be. Regardless of the influence that your role may entail on staff training, or how long your program has been running, there are always ways that you can impact inclusivity, accessibility, and belonging. Come prepared with a few ideas in mind: what is your program doing effectively to elevate your staff during those first few days (or weeks)? Where have you identified areas of growth? How do you want your staff to describe their experience? Join us with your warm or iced beverage of choice to share with and learn from EPICs across the country!
